The fact that Iowa is demographically unrepresentative is a serious problem, and Iowa should not be the first in line for the selection of Presidential delegates. That its results are later than they should be, however, is considered a serious problem only by those who are desperate for instant gratification. Regrettably, their numbers are many. That is a form of societal sickness. Thus, Stanford Law Professor Nathaniel Persily refers to the misguided apoplexy of those cable pundits who could not announce the results immediately. The notion that the delay warrants any significant conclusions about the Democratic Party is preposterous.
Good point, Steve!
