Donald Trump and his campaign ads argue that the House's focus on impeachment is irresponsible because it has gotten in the way of dealing with the bread and butter issues the people sent Representatives to Congress to address. Wall to wall focus on Trump by the mass media has assisted this fictitious narrative. In fact, the House has passed nearly 400 bills - many of them quite important. 80% of those bills have been buried in Mitch McConnell's graveyard, and the 80% includes vital legislation regarding health care, climate change, civil rights, help for Veterans, gun control, the environment, consumer protection, worker's rights, and the safeguarding of our elections. For discussion and a list (at the bottom of the link) of many of the important bills passed by the House, see https://www.vox.com/2019/11/29/20977735/how-many-bills-passed-house-democrats-trump?fbclid=IwAR17FPw-9-klCzuof7TmN9HmpuUFvUW1Lk_z7NOaKIw3L8ojeSMLRCA0VKU.
