Many thanks indeed for your kind references to my writing. Needless to say, I am delighted. However, I have to part company with you regarding my politics. It is true that I am not a Marxist but it is does not follow from this that I am a conservative. I am a life-long labour supporter and have spent too many hours of my life (including last Sunday in the rain) fighting against the Tories - mainly in defence of the NHS (see NHS SOS 2013 and God, Free Will, and the NHS 2016), The latter includes a savage attack on all that the Tories have been trying to do public services and the welfare state since 1979 and have succeeded in doing, alas, since 2010. I am not a dualist but I could stand being accused of dualism more easily that being accused of being a Tory!

Dear Raymond,

My apologies for making the wrong inference on that score and of course I am happy in this case to learn that I was mistaken. Thank you for the correction.
