Peter, thank you for that.

Peter D. Lent, NLC-GWU 1971

I had the privilege of being a student in Monroe Freedman's classes,Contracts 1 and Contracts 2 at the National Law Center of the George Washington University Law School, in 1968. The courses did cover traditional contract law, but so much more as well: legal ethics, morality and the reality of being a courtroom lawyer. He taught by the Socratic Method and his classes were difficult and enthralling. The accomplishment I was most proud of in Law School was achieving an "A" grade in Contracts 2, after getting a "C" in Contracts 1.
He was the best teacher I ever had and a wonderful person out of the classroom. He will be missed and remembered fondly for a long, long time.
