In what sense were any of the apostles married? Did they make pledges of "till death us do part," march down aisles in silly clothes, have a reception with wedding cake and a photographer?

Sorry, but I find no prescription for marriage or wedding in the Bible. The wedding mentioned features wine and little else. The patriarchs were married to dozens of women. The closest example of a marriage relationship recognizable to an American man is given in the Book of Job.

For all we know, marriage of the apostles was like marriage in a hippy commune. So much dogma and blood is spilt over religious superstition!
