Ignorant piece. Rush Limbaugh objected, not to contraception, but to public financing of a woman's sex life, as would Milton Friedman. Indeed, both would object to public financing of a normal birth that costs around $10,000.
And creating a new verb ("to trod") doesn't save the piece.
