Egyptians should defer to a "European-style parliamentary democracy,"...and the problems faced by its democratic "secularists" are "compounded" by a "leaderless revolution," or so argues Bruce Ackerman.

Bruce Ackerman has an essay in Foreign Policy, “Parliament to the Rescue,” in which he claims, among other things, that “Egypt’s military has begun to commandeer its revolution.” Tom Ginsburg posted the piece with permission at the Comparative Constitutions blog as well. I left some comments there in response, Professor Ackerman replied, and I’ve replied in turn.
